"Light" are two fake concepts of the same app. One is incredibly predatory and the other has the user's interest at heart.
Using data predictions to actively keep the user on the app depending on what personality type they have and how likely they are to be influenced. This app attracts people who might struggle with a mental illness and promotes the right content for them to stay that way, so they keep using the app.
Using data to actively promote the right content for the user, and having their buissiness model be to keep people off the app. Helping them with their mental illness and provide support.
Experimenting
To gather data and experiment with it, Me and a classmate created two different poles. These poles were sent at random, removing any bias we may have. This form was a personality test, which gave us insight in what kind of person was filling in our form. These forms also both had a video. The one pole said "This video is designed to make you happy". And the other said the opposite. Though, these video's were designed in randomness only. Giving us a way to see what kind of people are more likely to get influenced by these things at face value. This worked out very well.
Color schemes
Even color schemes can influence how you feel. For example, a more bright color can induce a likelier want to buy something. or browner/warmer colors that make you feel at ease. This was also experimented with using poles and existing data online.
